Attention Mac Grads!

I would like to call Mac Grads attention to a recent accident in Taylorville, IL. This accident involved Janice Kettelkamp, the wife of 1981 graduate Kirk Kettelkamp currently the principal of the Taylorville Junior High School. I am currently the nurse at this school. The accident occurred on June 7, 2007. Janice has recently been moved to an intensive rehab facility at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL and is in room G437. She is undergoing 8 hours of daily respiratory and physical therapy with her husband Kirk by her side. Our hopes and prayers are for continued improvement so that she may return home to her family. Visiting is not encouraged but cards and letters are more than welcome.

Locally, the family has had tremendous support. The churches and people throughout the community have really rallied behind this family. Friends have assisted with care and transportation of the children, preparation of meals, shopping, a blood drive, and now a Golf Outing/Fundraiser. The golf outing will be held on August 18, 2007 at the Lake Shore Golf Course in Taylorville. Check in 10:30-11:45, lunch 11:30-12:15, shotgun start-12:30. Cost is $70/player (includes lunch, golf and cart, dinner and refreshments). Non-golfers can attend the dinner for $15. Raffles will go on throughout the day, as well as silent and live auctions. You may contact me with any further questions (827-5053). Thank you so much for letting me share this news with all Mac grads - keep the Kettelkamp family in your thoughts and prayers.
